I had wanted to try an outdoor newborn portrait session for quite a while. When my friend in Gulf Breeze, FL was blessed with this beautiful baby girl, I just HAD to ask her if she’d be willing to let me “borrow” her daughter as my muse and model for my first ever outdoor newborn portrait session on the beautiful white sand beaches of Pensacola.
Luckily for me, she was happy to oblige!
This was SUCH a fun experience and so different from the norm that, weather allowing, I definitely want to get at least a couple of pictures of each newborn outdoors from now on.
For Miss Kaleigh’s 3 year old portrait session, her mommy agreed we needed to do something a little different. Kaleigh, like any other 3 year old is non-stop from sun up to sun down, so we needed to come up with something FUN for her Pensacola, FL Child Portrait session. After a little brainstorming, we agreed on a “Tea Party” session set up in their backyard. Kaleigh’s mommy is Alicia with Cakes & More by Alicia, so she set to work designing stunning sugar cookies for the shoot. All of our awesome props – chair, table, tea set, and even Kaleigh’s hand-made tulle skirt were from my own stockpile of fun props.
As soon as I arrived at the client’s house, Kaleigh came running out to my car jumping with joy and telling me how she was about to have a TEA PARTY! That's what it's all about - coming up with a theme that make it fun for everyone.
We even talked Kaleigh's big sister into joining us for a bit.
We all know that children aren't always the easiest to post. So, instead of spending your child's next portrait session fighting to get a few "real" smiles, why not let me plan a FUN session and let's capture who your child is at this stage!
