A new year (like a new baby) signals a new beginning – a fresh start – a dream of new things to come. And that’s appropriate for us. Because for 2017 I’m thrilled to announce our new Watch Me Grow – Baby Plans. Our Baby Plans will provide Gulf Coast and Pensacola area mothers-to-be 3 different Baby Plan options – covering mommy’s Maternity Portrait session through baby’s 12-month portraits and Cake Smash session.
Of course, I’ll still offer individual Maternity, Newborn, and Milestone portrait sessions – but by booking a Watch Me Grow – Baby Plan package, you will receive up to $450 in savings off the A La Carte session pricing!
Do I have your attention yet?

If you know me, you know I LOVE animals! My intent when I first headed to Auburn University was a pre-vet BS followed by vet school. Alas, that was not to be – but my love of animals has remained.
Over the years, I’ve happily incorporated client’s pets (first babies) into both family portrait sessions and newborn portrait sessions. So, when Victoria asked me if we could include their dogs in their Pensacola Beach maternity session, I replied with an enthusiastic yes! Then I set about finding a dog-friendly beach for their session. Thank goodness for Pensacola Beach offering two dog parks! Not only that, on that windy afternoon, we had those pristine white sands almost entirely to ourselves!
How cute are those bandanas – “Big Brother” and “Big Sister”? I think this baby girl is going to have 2 awesome guardians!
I had such a good time photographing this couple and, since they signed up for one of my Watch Me Grow baby plans, I am looking forward to seeing them again in February when they welcome their little girl!
The Hill family, from Illinois, contacted me back in September to set up a family portrait session for their family vacation this past December. Now, I know what you're thinking, a December family portrait session on Pensacola Beach might be a bit chilly. Not this December! Most days had highs in the mid to upper 60°s with beautiful sunsets. In fact, every single family portrait session I photographed this past fall was PERFECT weather! All except for the day the Hill's family pictures were scheduled.
That day turned out to have a high around 50° with winds from 20 - 30 miles per hour. And, that was the only day they had for their pictures. Of course. But, we persever
Mom had a color scheme and outfits all planned out - chilly weather and winds be damned. See, these pictures weren't JUST family photos - they were also to be Engagment/ Save the Date announcements!
I personally showed up for this session in leggings, boots, a tank top, a sweater, and a jacket - it was THAT cold with the wind chill.
When I saw these 3 adorable kiddos hop out of their car and shiver at the blast of cold wind, I knew I needed a plan! (Honestly, with multiple children, you always need a plan.)
Before we walked out onto the windy beach, while we were still in the shelter of the boardwalk, I pulled the Hill kids aside and told them this - If they would be super cooperative and do exactly what their mother and I asked of them, I PROMISED their photo session would be over in 10 minutes! Oh man, that definitely got their attention.
These kids were FANTASTIC!
They did everything asked of them. And I kept my promise, 20 awesome shots, and 10 minutes later, we called this session a wrap and went back to our warm cars.
This fall I received one of those calls that photographers live for – a previous client wanted to update her family photos! I love, love, love, getting to capture client’s children as they grow. Honestly, it helps you too; your children KNOW me so I’m no longer a stranger trying to get them to smile and pose.
You might recognize the Guillot family from last year’s adorable Pensacola Beach Christmas mini session.
Aren’t they adorable? But look how much these kiddos have grown this past year!! As a parent, we get lost in the day-to-day and don’t always see how much our children change in a year’s time. I know I do.
So, I was very glad when Nicole called me to book their family’s portrait session on Pensacola Beach!
As fate would have it, so far ALL of this year’s annual Family Christmas Mini sessions have taken place on the beautiful, white, sandy beaches of Pensacola beach and Perdido Key. In years past, I’ve always had at least one family who wanted a wooded location, but not this year. And honestly, I LOVE how this year’s Christmas set looks on the beach.
After this year, I can, without a doubt, say that Christmas mini session season is my favorite - 2nd only to Newborn Portraits.
Actually, I’ve enjoyed decorating Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key so much that I’ve decided to extend my Christmas Mini Portrait Sessions through December 17th.
Around here, the holiday season kicks off sometime between late October and early November with Family Christmas Mini Sessions. This year was no different, except we also debuted our “Pictures with Father Christmas” sessions at Naval Live Oaks in Gulf Breeze.
The suit worn by the amazing Santa Ronnie as well as all of the vintage toys at our “Pictures with Father Christmas” sessions originally belonged to my grandfather. It made my heart very happy to see these items back in use and the smiles they brought to the children’s faces that day!
The Naval Live Oaks Preserve, part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, provided the perfect location for our sessions as well!
All of the children (well except one) were quickly charmed by Santa and were more than happy to sit on his knee, check out his toys, and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
Follow Santa Ronnie on Facebook to keep up with the other local appearances he’ll be making this Christmas season.
It’s been a while since I’ve taken the time to show off some the awesome photography products that we carry. Plus, since I’ve added a few more goodies, what better way to introduce them than to show them off!
Since it is the Christmas season, I am going to start off with these super cute, and affordable, custom Christmas ornaments. On the left is a bamboo ornament that comes in your choice of 13 sizes & shapes (the one show is 4″x2.5″). They’re ~1/4″ thick and show the beautiful, natural grain of the bamboo through the image. On the right is a sweet metal ornament that can be ordered in the design shown or a snowflake.
These ornaments not only look lovely on your own tree, they make a fantastic gift for grandparents!
Next up is an item I’ve been proudly using for 2 months now: a custom cell phone case.
What a great way to show off your babies – without having to even unlock your phone screen.
Cases are black rubber grip with interchangeable photo inserts. These aren’t sold as “protective cases” like Otterbox, Lifeproof, etc – BUT, my toddler has dropped and thrown my phone multiple times on quite a few different surfaces, and so far, no damage has occurred to my Samsung S6.
Cases are available for the Samsung Galaxy S6, iPad Mini, and iPhones 4, 5, 6, & 6 Plus.
The base order includes 1 case and 1 insert – additional inserts can be added to your order or ordered at a later date.
The gorgeous picture above is my 2nd favorite new product: the 3″x3″ accordion mini album. This beautiful, sturdy mini album comes with your choice of up to 10 customizable panels and your choice of cover: fabric, leathers, suede, or (my personal fave) custom photo. Accordion Mini albums come in sets of 3 boxed up in a little manilla colored box – PERFECT for grandparent gifts (can you not just picture grandma whipping this out of her purse to show off to everyone) or as a display in mom or dad’s office!
Next up, you can NEVER go wrong with a custom, 1 1/2″ gallery wrap canvas! It’s classic, it’s sturdy, and you don’t even need a frame.
Each gallery wrap canvas is finished with saw-tooth hangers and corner bumpers.
I’ll wrap up with something many of us are knee deep in this time of year – Christmas cards.
I am proud to offer, high quality, customized Press-Printed & Foil Pressed greeting cards in a variety of sizes.
Custom designed cards are perfect for new baby announcements, Birthday invitations, Graduation announcements, Christmas cards, etc.
So, now you’ve seen the beautiful, high quality, and affordable products we carry for our clients. But, just because you don’t see it here doesn’t mean we can’t get it. So, if there’s ever something special that you have in mind, just ask!
