I hear parents all the time saying they just can’t find the time to have family pictures made – even just pictures of their children. And trust me – I get it! I 100% get it! I make it a point to take pictures of my kids each spring and fall as well as a “Christmas pajama picture” around the holidays. I try to mix it up and take their pictures at different locations around Pensacola. This spring, I was that parent. The “I don’t have time” parent. I swear, every day it was something. Someone was sick, or someone had a ton of homework, or someone was teething, or the kids were cranky, or I was cranky. You get the idea. The list goes on. I’ve had the outfits picked out for my children’s portraits for over 2 months. They just hung there in my room – judging me. But then, one Tuesday afternoon, I realized I could probably come up with an excuse every. single. day. And then spring would be gone and I’d have missed this season. And I don’t want to miss this season because my kids are growing up and if I miss this spring, what’s to say I won't miss our fall pictures. So, I hopped up, handed each kid their outfit and told them to go get changed. So, what do we have? A last minute children’s portrait session with a 2 year old, 9 year old, and 11 year old. Everyone is smiling. They’re clean(ish) and color coordinated. And it’s really not as hard as we as parents feel like it is. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed in the details and the how and when. Just pick up your phone, and call me. Let’s get your session scheduled! I can even help you pick a color palette!
