About Me
Hi, I'm Amanda!
I'm the lady behind the camera in this 1 woman show. I've been photographing families on the Gulf Coast for over a decade now and can honestly say that I have the best job getting to capture memories for families that future generations can look back on!
I provide my awesome clients with a relaxing photography experience centered around capturing family connections and special moments.
A Little About Me
I'm a wife, bio mom of 1, and bonus mom of 2. I still consider north Alabama "home," but I've lived on the Gulf Coast since early '05. I'm the secretary for my son's cub scout pack, and in my "spare time," you can find me driving my kids to all of their various activities.
Things I love: photography (duh), anything involving being on, in, or near the water, furry animals, manatees, hiking, Auburn football (War Eagle), travel and going on adventures, reading, watching movies, cooking, hits of the 90s and 2000s, and cold brew coffee.
Why's it called Finding Beauty in the Ordinary Photography?
What’s in a name?
Some of my favorite things to photograph have always been everyday things – my daughters inspecting their new baby brother, my niece sitting in her inner tube at the water’s edge, a beautiful landscape. So, when I took the leap and started photographing people, I knew that it was important to showcase the beauty in ordinary, everyday life.
I love bright, airy portraits, stolen moments, and striking, black-and-white photography. I think that photographs should tell a story and evoke a memory without a lot of special effects and editing. I want my clients to be the main focus of their photos.
