I had the pleasure of photographing the Hale family at Johnson's Beach in Perdido Key, Florida one summer day. Not only did we luck out with a slightly overcast, not-so-humid, late July evening for their family photography session, but all 4 of their kiddos were sweet, awesome, and photogenic.

Oh, and the beach was EMPTY!!!

And how cute does everyone look in their blues and whites? I love how Mom still managed to mix it up with solids, stripes, and checks.

When photographing families, I try to make a point of getting at least a few shots of JUST mom and dad. Without mom and dad, there wouldn't be everyone else, AND we parents tend to stop getting pictures with just our spouse after our children come along. Often the couple is a bit hesitant, but quickly get on board with the idea. And these two, well, these two were the sweetest couple - even while wrangling 4 kids on perdido key for family portraits.
