I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear from this mama. I've photographed her family at least annually since she was carrying their first baby in 2017. She was calling to share the wonderful news that they were expecting baby number 2 but to book a Baby's First Year photography plan. Instead of offering a one-size-fits-all Baby's First Year Plan, I tailor the Plan to each client. The plan starts with your choice of a Lifestyle Newborn photography session or Premium Newborn photography session then you add on 2 - 5 of the following sessions at a 20% discount: Maternity portraits, 3-month Milestone session, 6-month Milestone session, 9-month Milestone session, and/or a 12-month Milestone and cake-smash photography session.

Premium Newborn Session
Next up was little miss's Premium Newborn session that took place in her family's Pensacola home. Premium Newborn photography sessions include an up to 3-hour in-home photography session with multiple posed pictures of baby as well as posed and lifestyle family and sibling photographs.
After the newborn photography session, I met the family every 3 months at the location of their choosing for the Milestone photography sessions. The client chose to have the 3 and 9-month sessions take place in the baby girl's nursery, and the 6-month session took place on the beach (just like we did for her big brother 5 years before).

Eventually, a whole year had passed and it was time for the 12-Month Milestone and Cake Smash Photography session. (not all clients want a cake smash as part of their 12-month session, and that's totally ok!)
Mama chose Johnsons Beach, part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore in Perdido Key, FL for the 12-month photography session.
I cannot express to you how much fun I find cake smashes! You never know what's going to happen. Baby may just daintily eat the cake. Baby make scream. Baby may "Hulk Smash" the cake. You just never know. It's the BEST!
